Morning fellow Hubbers

I would like to find out if changing my frame from a Giant XTC 29er1 2014 to a Scott Scale 900SL 2015 would be considered as an upgrade and worth doing.

The upgrade price is minimal.

I owned the Giant from new and love my bike.

I would like to hear your comments.

All the best.

Scott will be a bit lighter but probably also a bit stiffer.

Scott's geometry is also more racey then normal from what I have experienced so handling might be improved in the tight stuff but comfort might be a bit less as they are very stiff.

Not so sure on the Giant XTC frame though as I have never ridden one.

Not sure how much of a factor it is to you but if you have owned the giant since new then the lifetime warranty on the frame will still be in effect, the scott if its 2nd hand would not have a warranty.

Thanks for the comments.

Giant has a 3 year warranty on carbon frames. So it is about to expire in May 2017.

Weight of Giant: +- 1450g

Weight of Scott: +-   950g
