T-Bob Posted February 28, 2017 Share And the single day ride / trail run is on the 9th of September (not 9th of Feb' that is cropping up her on the Hub). Excited to do both this year. Only races of the year that I'll strap a number on for (bar the Argus). Edited February 28, 2017 by hellocolour T-Bag68

Jewbacca Posted February 28, 2017 Share This really is the best stage race out there currently. The little teaser Friday, then straight into 2 days of RAD! Remember to dress up. There was a prize for best dressed last year..... I drank it and now the CBC T-shirt that matched the beer is too small for my boep! If you are in doubt, just bite the bullet and do the U.... MTBeer Posted March 8, 2017 Share so I see this is now R10 000 for a team for 2 days Taking the pi ss to a whole new level or is that the going rate. BuffsVintageBikes
Matchstix Posted March 8, 2017 Share Anybody that's been there will understand. Yes it's pricey. HoweverFood from Friday night to Sunday lunch. It's technically 3 days if you include the prologue. And it's amazing single track with close to 85km of hand built singletrack

But there is no way I will pay 10k for a local ride, no matter how good the trails. varkie2

Timbo Posted March 8, 2017 Share Did the U last year and thoroughly enjoyed it - but the increase in entry from 7.5K to 10K is taking the piss... Was looking forward to doing it again but with a 33% increase, 2017 won't see me on the start line. I would however strongly recommend riding the 65km race (R395), incredible trails and a fair entry fee. MTBeer

Jewbacca Posted March 14, 2017 Share Best race of the year, hands down! Cant wait for this. Are you going to have a 'real' partner this year? I love this event... beer, awesome trails, laughs, amazing food and radness. W2W is more than this and it is far far far less awesome.....

mrcg Posted March 14, 2017 Share Best trails without a doubt! DId last two 63km rides. And booked this year's too.Would love to do the U. BUT that is really a steep price in anybody's book. There is no doubt that the trails are awesome, the venue top notch and I assume the meals great too. But stark reality is that it doesn't quite add up for me: distances are relatively short (for all days) and so my experience versus investment is not quite there. I get that a lot goes into staging/maintaining this, but to be honest maybe we are looking to up the profit a little too much?? (NB not sure on this?).If you can provide me with +-60km for 2 days...or make it a 3 day for same distances i might consider it.Maybe allow some weekend riding (e.g. long weekends/holidays) to up your income from trails and accommodation. The interest is there!#justsaying Cycling Addict
