Mopkop Posted March 19, 2017 Share Hi Guys What is your experience with Rudy Project Helmets? I can get either the Airstorm or the Windmax for a very good price BUT i am more interested in the Airstorm. Yay or Nay and why please? Breezer Posted March 20, 2017 Share I had a huge crash with my windmax, the impact was hard enough to break my front tooth as my bottom tooth hit it. The helmet worked perfectly. I had no injuries on my head were the initial impact was. I wanted the same helmet, but it was the same time cwc had their black Friday deal on the giro so I went for it. Tbo, I never saw a good special on the windmax. Takealot did have a special on the airstorm a few months back. Keep a eye on their site.Hope this was helpful. SlowManiac Posted March 20, 2017 Share I've got a Windmax. I really like it, light, fits me well and is comfy. Maybe not as trendy as some of the POC type helmets that seem to be the rage these days. Mopkop
Bira Posted March 20, 2017 Share Have a Rudy Project Rush very comfortable. I spent an hour in the store trying everything from bell, bontrager, giro, POC etc. POC and Giro came second best but decided on the Rudy. Mopkop
fanievb Posted March 20, 2017 Share I had a Rudy.when you need spares, ASG can't supply them.I needed to replace the inserts and the clips which hold the straps together, after 18 months of waiting I bought a different brand.nothing wrong with the helmet, but when I don't receive back up from a "premium" product supplier I take my money elsewhere. Cois Posted March 20, 2017 Share They are good. I am on my 2nd one at the moment. My Zumax cracked and was replaced for a few rand (think R700) for a Zuma. Like the lids they make, but on some rides, I have found a fair amount of strain with the lid on (strain on my neck, causes headaches over 10 km rides) My other lid I have no problems whatsoever Mopkop
