bar ends...road bike hoods...same thing ? 

 

or just buy these change the the levers and  tyres...no need to buy a whole bike.

Now that would upset any officious CSA-type who would try and exclude your traditional MTB-barred gravel-grinder, for having drop bars!

I suppose if the Slate, amongst others, had some bounce up front, then why not? (Yes, the gap between a MTB and a gravel bike with one of these is becoming narrower.....)

If you lock a Lefty, there is no bounce. That is the best thing of a Lefty, if its locked its locked. Some bounce may come from tyre pressure but not the shock. Unlocked on rough surface roads even better Edited by Mongoose!
