China's answer to Zwift - One lap

Interesting look at a new virtal cycling app being developed in China called One Lap. Basically a ripoff of Zwift

No subcription fees required as of yet, just a bit clunky for those not versed in Chinese.

It's very new so it might be a bit janky but its good to see some competition in this market, it can only end well for the consumer

Have you tried it out?  Are there lots of (real) participants?

I'm yet to try it out, still waiting on a new ANT+ USB dongle, but from the looks of the video initial player numbers seem to be good.

Not sure what the network/server infrastructure is like and what the experience will be connecting all the way from SA.

I'm planning on jumping on asap to give it a test

Check out the Scandinavian (I think they are) version. Met with the guys at Eurobike, pretty decent product:

Looks like the same company (unless I misunderstood, entirely possible) are also making a direct-drive trainer:

Who knows if it will be as good as it promises, or even available outside of China. But something to keep an eye on, more options = good
