Li Mu Bai Posted April 3, 2017 Share Specialized mtb shoes almost sell themselves - various models for various budgets. lots of space in the toe box if you have a wide foot.
samson99 Posted April 3, 2017 Share guys will ask what the budget is and what sort of riding you intend doing. oops, bit late to the party. Edited April 3, 2017 by samson99 Patchelicious

Rudi Pollard Posted April 3, 2017 Share I've tried various brands(Shimano, Sidi, Specialized, Lake etc.), and have to say that the specialized shoes are by far the most comfortable and longest lasting out of the lot I have owned. The range starts at about R1500 (IIRC) for the sport model and ends at the S-Works model just below R6000. Choose whatever fits your budget, and you will not be sorry. I can second this - Spez shoes are very comfortable. Have owned some on both ends of the price spectrum, and have been very happy on all occasions. Patchelicious Posted April 3, 2017 Share Really? Hope that this is a tongue in cheek comment?Yes it was. If you say you "I don't want to spend R15k on shoes" when asked how much you want to spend, expect an appropriately useful response.
