I do like the idea of the medical cover etc that the CSA license provides; and no doubt the normal medical aids probably have some sort of "were you licensed to be racing" clause in the event of an emergency so it is a good thing to have and I do support having the license - but again - am I having the wool pulled over my eyes; am I actually covered... hmmmmmm....No need for CSA "do I have it, Don't I have it cover". Sanlam Go Cover. Get the app. Get R1,000,000 accident cover for R30 for the day of the race. No poorly run "association" can compete with a large private company. Received an email from CSA yesterday confirming the membership expiration and what was interesting and downright hilarious is the excerpt below: "Here are six reasons why renewing your membership is a great idea. As a valid member you receive:* Preferential rates with Europcar when you hire a vehicle anywhere in South Africa* Access to cycling related content on our online community portal, bespoke* Your personal LiveLife Solutions loyalty rewards card, offering benefits with retail partners across the country* 15% rebate will be loaded onto your LiveLife Rewards card for your ICE ID purchase" Out of their own six reasons why you should renew your CSA membership, they could only find four . Guess the non-existent two (which are probably the only reasons for joining) relate to the policies they have let lapse. So the only benefits of being a standard CSA member is access to a loyalty program and receipt of news that can be sourced elsewhere. Bloody hell. Me thinks he is part of the problem !Most definitely He wasn't even able to find a treasurer (until now) .how the hell can he fix the mess he couldn't fix in 5 years. The mere fact that financials weren't available at the AGM meeting says to me he was hiding the problems for a long time and hoping it would magically go away. shaper Posted August 15, 2017 Share My CSA licence ends 1 November, so have entered all the races that I will do for the rest of the year online. Will not be renewing and will likely not do any races beginning of next year... will watch and see how thing pan out with CSA.
