Skylark Posted August 20, 2017 Share Amazed that people still get caught by that trick, proof again that one is born everyday, a sucker that is. That being said, sorry to hear the OP's predictament, suppose he had a degree of trust for his fellow man left and it was routinely rodgered clean out of him by having his bike nicked. Jurgens Smit Posted August 20, 2017 Share Can you claim against your insurance for something like this? I'd imagine not as technically speaking you gave your bike away.

peanutville Posted September 10, 2017 Share ALWAYS wait until funds have cleared! Have received a cheque previously for goods being sold on Gumtree. Buyer was very pushy but waited until the funds cleared or in my case not cleared as cheque bounced. Best not to even take a cheque as YOU get charged for the fraudulent cheque!
