I nearly bought the farm on a few jumps landing way off-kilt. After a good few scares, I cashed in my chips and left the casino with my honour and skin intact. Ja, that day was very windy despite the weather forecast insisting there should be none, and despite more sensible logic I tried my luck at the skills park...jumping in wind is not advised, as I nearly came short a couple of times getting blown off-line in the air making the landings "interesting". You can see I was eventually absorbing the jumps to try not paste myself on the table somewhere. Eventually we sidled over to the flow line section of the downhill and sessioned that bit. No matter how adept you think you are at riding, when you hit the jump in a Cape Town SE'er and your wheels start singing "Kaptein, span die seile" you know you're going to see your ass.
