Ironman 2019 - PE

I'm lucky because my wife loves this stuff too. So we head out to training together on weekends, and we're up at the same ridiculous time on weekdays. We also don't have kids so thats probably the biggest training plus.

You really should try involve them, the meeting for breakfast idea is a good one. At least they'll better appreciate why you're so useless the rest of the time too!

I'm fortunate in a way that the missus is very supportive. She's done a few Tri's before the kids but will one day get there.

She's started cycling a running again and this week we both have a prep race for the Two Oceans and scambled around looking for a sitter who's prepared to sleep out as we need to leave at 6am!!

Is it right that the IM app has not updated for this race yet? Or do I have the wrong/out-dated app?

By the way gents, my sister who herself has completed a number of Ironman PE events is a volunteer at this one. In T1. No pork sword flashing please.

I'll go spectate just so that I can flash her my pork sword.

Looks like the East will be coming through in the late afternoon.

Forecast 1 on Windguru which looks great

so basically no wind, light NW which will eventually be a light East

And 2. West swinging to South and then to East

But possibly a bit early to predict

Good Luck Everyone and enjoy the day-you have worked hard for it -just go there and execute.

It will get shi**y but just know the darkness will come and it does for everyone -embrace it and think of that feeling as you dogleg right onto the light and the red carpet.

The only FOMO I have is missing out on my man-crush-meet-an-greet with Tim Don.

Detailed race reports due on Monday morning when we logon.

Not going to wish you guys luck -you don't need it-you've go this.
