Vetplant Posted October 4, 2018 Share I signed up to ride for a charity and obviously got the charity start time - are you able to use your own seeding to get a better start time? Don't have any burning desire to ride with the charity, just wanted to donate to a good cause ie ride for them not with them. I am also assuming my seeding will give me a better start time!!!Yes, if your seeded start time is better than your charity start time then you are welcome to start in your seeded start. Plenty of people have seedings worse than that of the charity, thus they will start with the charity.
Vetplant Posted October 4, 2018 Share In A batch but will try move to DL to help out.You lot are going to catch us fatties in DL very quickly on that first 40km of the course. I honestly think they made a mistake by putting the elite ladies behind us on this course, but then again they will go by us so quickly it will be a non-event. They must have upweighted some specific event for me to get to A

Most probably, Last year I pulled/pushed DL all the way till A caught us at Mandela bridge but I agree this year is going to be very different. The penalties are a little different. http://results.racetec.co.za/findme.aspx?ss=5 Edited October 4, 2018 by GaryvdM Escapee..
shaper Posted October 4, 2018 Share http://results.racetec.co.za/findme.aspx?ss=494.7 use their own seeding as they use different criteria to racetec, http://seeding.cyclechallenge.co.za/findme.aspx?ss=5&eid=3881 If you compare racetec and 94.7 seeding calcs you will see Escapee.. and GaryvdM

GaryvdM Posted October 4, 2018 Share Interestingly the penalties on Old Cycle Challenge results are very low, with just 10 for 2016 and 20 for 2015. I'm still getting seeded on my 2015 result, as my times for the last two years were slow. 2016 I road with a friend riding for the first time, and last year I was injured. AndrewF Posted October 4, 2018 Share I've got my VA license for the first time, but not reflected on my registration info. Do I need to query this at reg?
GaryvdM Posted October 4, 2018 Share I've got my VA license for the first time, but not reflected on my registration info. Do I need to query this at reg? As far as I know - Cycle Challenge issues vet numbers purely on seeding, not on if you have a license. I got a VB number once, and I did not have a license. What is your seeding index? http://results.racet...indme.aspx?ss=5 I think you need an index less than 9, but it probably changes from year to year, so take that with a pinch of salt.
