MomsenBikes SA Posted July 24, 2018 Share Arguably our biggest bike project to date --- the new VIPA ULTRA will be hitting the local trails shortly. Following it's debut at the 2018 CAPE EPIC, the new bike has seen 6 months of added refinement ( on top of the 18 months of design and development ) as well as extensive riding and testing in South Africa. Rider feedback and real-world feedback have resulted in various refinements and tweaks to those first bikes debuted in March. The new and final frames are expected next month ( August 2018 ). What i don't quite understand. 6 months of refinement, but the pic is clearly of the March version. correct - as we made 3 prototypes - yes, 3 in existence for the Cape Epic ... the purpose of Cape Epic - to RIDE and RACE IT in real world conditions -- oh, and that NEON YELLOW - just to get you guys all hot under the collar and make sure you notice the bike out on the trail! some German brands chose to ride without branding, we chose WITH BRANDING. personal choice I guess? hold your horses --- final version is already in SA and will be debuting it at SA's largest and most prestigious ENDURANCE RACE on the calendar - hope to see you there, you can come see the chain stays in the flesh ( weave ) Wannabe and LeoKnight 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I hope it rides better than it looks... those seat stays are pure function over form... 4 BIKES IN ONE with our FLIP CHIP ---- something for everyone ... if you want to RACE IT - geo can be switched, if you want TRAIL/FUN/RIDE/PLAY it - flip the chip and add the 120mm fork.
