Howzit folks

Been a while since i been on here.

Had a look and could see anything on here.

Rouxjtie and I are toying with the idea of going through on saturday or sunday.

some questions.

Can you get a day pass? From where and how much?

Can you do multiple runs? or is a 1hit wonder track?

Is it worth going with 140mm Pascoes, or do you need a +160mm travel bike to make it worth while?

How busy is it?

Any other suggestions?

Thanx in advance for the help.

You can get A day pass but its even more than half of what the motnh pass is

Yes you can do as many runs as you like

Yes A 140mm will do , skill level is important ( this ain't A very difficult track but its well above average for south african trails and its damn steep )

Not very busy , you'll maybe have to wait for 2/3 riders before you for every lift up

I suggest taking along all the protection gear you own , DO NOT ride without A fullface helmet

Other than that its proper fun and A hell of A workout ( most I've done in one day is 6 runs and I was knackered for A few days afterwards )

I'm also pretty keen on going this weekend.

Regarding bikes: I do it on a 120mm trail bike happily. I still have to walk a few sections, but definitely not due to the lack of the bike, but rather lacking in skill & bravery.

FYI: unless they've changed things (and I understand they're still ironing things out): The bike park entry is for A month, and the cableway pass is for THE month. So it's better to go first weekend of the month. If you go on the last day of the month, your cableway card expires the next day.

Again. Not sure if they've changed this.

so it seems cooler heads have prevailed and we gonna start at hakahana and work our way up to doing the DH course in a few weeks.
