They are really really lekker bikes. I still miss mine. I ran my 27.5 Primal with the 140mm fox 32 that came off my Trance. While a bit flexy, bit was a hoot to ride. So I reckon 140-150mm is the sweet spot. At 160mm the seat angle might get a bit slack. Before you buy components, You'll need to ascertain what seatpost diameter it is (either 30.9 or 31.6) and what axle spacing it has, will either boost or non boost, but mine was a quick release frame . It depends on the year model. And from there everything is normal, a threaded BB and internal routing for a dropper post makes life easy. Enjoy the build. Redrush Posted September 4, 2019 Share Shot for the help Hairy. What length steerer tube would the fork need if i buy one second hand?
Hairy Posted September 4, 2019 Share What length steerer tube would the fork need if i buy one second hand? Geo Chart shows a headtube length of 100mm ex. headset. Given the headset is very slim on this frame, assume 5mm ex. top cap.50mm for the stem15mm Top cap15mm spacers Assumed min. steerer length = 175-185mm Would be best to send Dartmoor an email asking them directly though. Chavo Posted October 7, 2019 Share Anyone on the forum have rider feedback for the Primal 29? The geo numbers suggest it will be a fun ripping ride, but first hand feedback appears a bit limited on the interwebs. Keen to hear from anyone who owns one
MariusC Posted November 24, 2020 Share reviving an old thread here. Dartmoor has not seen a lot of love recently?considering a DARTMOOR HORNET 27.5" from trailtech, it is a good frame I assume?
