Corrie Posted November 10, 2018 Share Me and my wife was doing a training ride in the cradle , close to the shop where you turn to the caves a bus came from the front and a citi golf from our back, as the vehicle came next to my wife the driver realized that he might hit the bus , he moved to his left and bumped into my wife . My wife fell and sustained injuries to her hip , once we arrived home from the hospital she said her head is sore ,I checked her helmet and found that it is completely broken on the one side. ( Bell that is good quality) Thank you to Thomson security who assisted with transporting us to the car. It is so sad , you train a year for an event then some careless person end your dream. Glad to hear the helmet did what it was supposed to. Rather the helmet broke than your wife's head. She must have her head checked out for possible concussion associated injury. It would always be a good idea, no matter how insignificant it might seem. One should never take chances with concussion, and if she shows signs of disorientation, head aches etc. it can point to more substantial injuries. Be safe, not sorry.
