Kickr3 vs Kickr4

Hi All

I understand the new Kickr is a lot quiter, but besides that, are there any other major differences in the 2017 Gen 3 model and the 2018 Gen 4 model?

Thanks

i've owned the Kickr 2 and Kickr 4.

get the Kickr 4

its extremely quiet compared. The loudest component is now your bicycle chain - so clean it and invest in a really good lube.

the flywheels extra weight does make a big difference in in-game feel. Gradient changes are more subtle and less jerky.

if last night's IDT session was anything to go by, my Kickr 4 will be headed back to where it came from... for the 3rd time (meaning a 4th unit) in as many months...

latest issue is a very noticeable 'knock' at about 2 o'clock on each power stroke. Giving it another bash this evening and will assess

so, the innocuous knock on the down-stroke turned into an unholy cacophony when I got on again... this time 2wieltjies was right... a google search found the exact symptom. Took the trainer apart, adjusted a few things (still need to get some loctite), and the noise is gone. I can't say if the problem is solved though.... Time will tell
