Police refused to draw blood so the PPA got their own pathologist to come draw his blood on scene!! Proud to be a ppa member!

Kudos to PPA and their pathologist who got to the scene so quickly!

Who or how were they notified ?

As far as the incident is concerned, I am speechless!

I wonder where the driver started from and how much other mayhem was caused on the way to this incident.

Just spoke to his brother. He’s out of theatre, but not really in great shape. His condition is stable though. Some specialists still looking at him at the moment. Injuries to the head and upper body. Extent of injuries still be fully established.

Thank you for the update.

Eina, man. ????

I can only imagine how many people were out on the road this morning and how many other near misses there probably were.

It’s like the drunk kid in his polo, was weaving all over the road before crashing on that stretch.

Well done to PPA.

While the cops couldn't take the blood sample, nothing prevented them from fascinating to have an authorised person on site ASAP.

Speedy recovery Abdullah!

Really shocked at all of this...

Pathetic excuses of people appointed to positions of upholding the law, really makes me de'moerin with this country...

Strongs to Abdullah, May the almighty grant him Shifaa...

Prayers goes out to his family during this difficult time...

The fekkin Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a car accident the other day and was tested for blood alcohol on the side of the road.. This is pathetic.

The ineptitude in the government is at an alltime high. Whe would anyone expect an over-paid, over-fed, under-worked slothful excuse to humanity, wearing a badge and a gun, to give a flying fart about anything other than what time will they make the next KFC run?

The way those cops carry themselves in the pics speak loud and clear as to their opinion, i.e. dilligaf.

So every year we hear the same drivel from whoever the current Minister of Transport about how they are going to clamp down and combat drunk drivers etc....

But then when someone is caught the pigs can't/wont do anything...small wonder no-one gives a toss if nothing happens when you are caught out anyway....And every year more and more die or are injured on the roads out there...Its high time all these politicians, nurses, doctors police etc etc who are government workers and don't/won't do their jobs can be prosecuted in a personal capacity...

Hope the cyclist heals and the driver gets a good few years in chookie (which never seems to happen sadly)....

Everytime this happens, it is heartbreaking.

The conflict between drunk drivers and cyclists at 6am on a sat and sunday morning needs to be stamped out.

Class action case against the police for allowing it?

unfortunately that blood sample will not be allowed as evidence

I dunno, but judge Motata (eventually) got taken down for drunk driving using a cellphone pic and a voice clip as evidence.
