MariusC Posted February 13, 2019 Share Hi all So its been 5 years since my last cycleMy daughter started cycling at school and wants me to go for a ride with her on Saturday at Avianto.now my question is, Will I die? Has the difficulty of the trial changed at Avianto.I know I am going to have a hard time as have not been active that much in the last couple of years, lets hope muscle memory kicks in But I am excited and really glad to get back on the MTB Andrew Steer, Cactus, Slowbee and 6 others
IH8MUD Posted February 13, 2019 Share Don't go to hard or far. Take it real easy. Easy heart rate.Stop many times. Finish the ride while it is still fun. Mousea

mudda Posted February 15, 2019 Share if you have a heart rate monitor - use it like a rev limiter keep below - say 140 if you have done no training at all in 5 years if you have been keeping fit - I guess - no rev limiter

EssBee Posted March 14, 2019 Share I also got back into it late last year, but on a very recreational basis ( very much unlike before ), after a lay off of about 6-7 years. Loving it.
