First ride after 5 years

Hi all

 

So its been 5 years since my last cycle

My daughter started cycling at school and wants me to go for a ride with her on Saturday at Avianto.

now my question is, Will I die? Has the difficulty of the trial changed at Avianto.

I know I am going to have a hard time as  have not been active that much in the last couple of years, lets hope muscle memory kicks in

 

But I am excited and really glad to get back on the MTB

Don't go to hard or far.  

Take it real easy. Easy heart rate.

Stop many times.  

Finish the ride while it is still fun.

have you been riding on the Bike hub in the 5 last years? if so, you'll definitely be okay

know that you're certainly going to have a bit of bruising on your sit bones. but enjoy the ride

if you have a heart rate monitor - use it like a rev limiter

 

keep below - say 140 if you have done no training at all in 5 years

 

if you have been keeping fit - I guess - no rev limiter

I did not remember still don't Chrome remembers everything

I still searched for The Hub. did not know the forum name changed to bike hub

I also got back into it late last year, but on a very recreational basis ( very much unlike before ), after a lay off of about 6-7 years.  Loving it.
