First ride after 5 years

Hi all

So its been 5 years since my last cycle

My daughter started cycling at school and wants me to go for a ride with her on Saturday at Avianto.

now my question is, Will I die? Has the difficulty of the trial changed at Avianto.

I know I am going to have a hard time as  have not been active that much in the last couple of years, lets hope muscle memory kicks in :P

But I am excited and really glad to get back on the MTB

if you have a heart rate monitor - use it like a rev limiter

keep below - say 140 if you have done no training at all in 5 years

if you have been keeping fit - I guess - no rev limiter  :w00t:

I dont know which is more impressive, that you have muscle memory or that you remembered your hub password.

I did not remember still don't Chrome remembers everything :P

I still searched for The Hub. did not know the forum name changed to bike hub

Great way to spend some time with the offspring!

I'm a few years off but looking forward to it.

  • 4 weeks later...

I also got back into it late last year, but on a very recreational basis ( very much unlike before ), after a lay off of about 6-7 years.  Loving it.
