Specialized Pitch Expert

Hello all,

 

Im looking for a 27.5" bike for my kid. He has grown out of his 24" (had for just over a year).

He really is a Scott fan but there doesn't seem to be much stock of the 700 Scale range and they seem expensive at around 20k.

Ive been looking around and the Specialized Pitch Expert which seems like value for money. Looked at the Norco Charger 2 as well...but he doesn't like it. 

 

Has anyone got some comments on the Spaz...is it good? He is142cm so the small will be a tad big but I figured that he will grow into it pretty soon.

NB....not really interested in pre-owned and would like to stick to a hardtail purchase. 1x would be really advantageous.
