We can spend the next 6 months guessing what crank you have.

Or you can spoil the fun and simply tell us.

By normal I assume you have a Shimano crank.

Is it a triple chain ring or a double chain ring?

Post a pic of it

Short answer, yes. Look up Rapide. They have affordable conversion kits.

Almost any crank can be made 1x, chainring options are pretty limited with the old SRAM XX 120 BCD cranks though.

The crank can most likely be converted, but whether YOU can do it is a whole other discussion.... How mechanically minded are you?

Giedeon welcome to the Hub .... if the warm welcome above have not scared you away  yet .... :whistling:

YES, in many cases a 2x or even a 3x can be converted to a 1x.

With the Trek Fuel EX5 bike the front blades were removed and a 1x blade was bolted on.

Some kind Hubbers were (not so) diplomatic in pointing out this looked cr@p .... but hey, this is what some of these conversions look like ...

the fun starts if this simple approach leaves you with a blade that is off set to one side .... with any luck it is  a matter of spacers to resolve the issue

Sure looks interesting !

Check out the M2 - it looks a lot like an older XT ring. Very pretty. Could be a fine solution for the 3 to 1 converters...
