[Event] 2019 PPA One Tonner

Pedal Power Association

Recommended Posts

2018 start groups:

A

B

C

Tandems

D-E

F-G

H-I

J-L

M-Z

This will differ depending on how many people do the race, if there are more participants we'll be split into more groups.  Likely more groups this year as the teams competition is gone and the weather forecast looks good.

You can check your seeding here https://pedalpower.org.za/seeding/

Thank you for this!!

Going to be interesting to see who starts where on Sunday :)

Also going to be interesting  to see what happens at top of bains .... that is a bloody long climb to try climb at someone else's pace on cold legs (well for overweight, under powered people like me)

We have some starting in A and just waiting for the rest so can ride the rest of route together and no waiting on the climb

Had to smirk at my seeding, no hope in hell that I have the ability to crest the top of Bains with A batch. Will be dropping down to C. After 3 disastrous One Tonners in 3 years my only goal is to have a steady ride and secure a nice seeding for the Argus.

Started in A one year.

Cramp attack at silos, Klipheuwel.

Had to dismount.

Then limped to the white chalk.

I cried myself to sleep that night.

And the next.

Looking at the wind predictions there will be more than enough headwind & crosswinds in the last 50km to have grown men cry on Sunday...

Reminds me of 2013, my first time. It was enough to scare me off for a few years.

I'm starting in E and most certain will not finish in E.

Having difficulty finding your bleak forecast?  Windguru for Malmesbury looks very tame.

YOU laugh at your seeding. I dropped from B to D....

• There is no road closure and all traffic rules apply at all times

emailed them to ask if bains will have full road closure, otherwise gonna be rather interesting ... not in mood to get hit again in a race by a car.
