They were selling for R550ea recently so R399.98 ea is a great deal! RRP is R1199 per tyre so buy one get two free. but They're heavy grip seems to drop off remarkably once the top layer of graphene impregnated rubber is worn off. This is long before the tread is finished. On the positive side they're amongst the fastest rolling tyres but fall behind the Pirelli Scorpion H, M and S options, and Maxxis Rekon Race, Ardent Race.If you ride across thorny terrain a lot then the thicker and self sealing nature of the rubber they use is a plus. If all out speed and grip balance is important the Pirelli and Maxxis options are better but not on special as far as I can tell
ABrooks Posted August 24, 2019 Share There is a tyre combo thread here somewhere on the hub. Most people on there would say Barzo front, Sauaro rear. That is also how I ran my setup, I had the Saguaro front and rear for quite some time before getting a Barzo at the front. I have no experience with the Mezcal. Me rida my bicycle Posted August 25, 2019 Share Barzo front and rear for me they roll great very simular tread as x-king, nice big volume and decent grip. The mezcal is a fast rolling tyre but doesn't last long. The saguaro I just never liked to heavy and not much grip or braking.

Red Bird Posted August 25, 2019 Share I’m not sure why everyone says they heavy. 600g and all the Maxxis tyres are over 600? The tubeless tyres tip my scales at 750g. The lighter casings weigh about 600g
DieselnDust Posted August 25, 2019 Share I’m not sure why everyone says they heavy. 600g and all the Maxxis tyres are over 600?They're 790gr not the advertised 600gr. Trust me. I've weighed them. Unpacked all the shops stock and took the two lightest tyres, both mezcal. They are 130 gr heavier than the competition per tyre
