I watched the Peak doccy on Supersport last night about MTN Qhubeka / Didata Qhubeka / NTT. Some fascinating insights into the prowess of Doug Ryder and his drive to get Africa's first team to the major leagues.

generally the green jersey winner has been a mediocre climber and not a total lead sled.

Only Abdoujaporov and Zabel were more pure sprinters to take the Green Jersey to Paris. Most of the winners fall into the Puncheur category

I miss the Tashkent Terror.

I'm probably way off the mark here but Sagan seems to have lost his passion in his quest for the Green Jersey. Doesn't have the same fire that we've always experienced watching. Whatever it is , I hope he gets it back

Enough about Sagan under performing... we don’t know the plan he is on given that he will also be going to the Giro. He might still target the ISP on the hillier stages. Bennett, Coquard and Trenton seems to be the biggest threat to Sagan’s defense of the green jersey.

ISP - Intermediate Sprint Point

Stage 12 - hilly, but no cat climbs before ISP;

Stage 13 - cat 1, 3 and 2 before ISP;

Stage 14 - cat 4 sprint before ISP;

Stage 15 - flat before ISP;

Stage 16 - cat 4 at 12.5Km and ISP at 44.5;

Stage 17 - flat before ISP;

Stage 18 - flat before ISP;

Stage 19 - flat stage;

Stage 20 - ITT, no ISP

Stage 21 - might turn out to be a sprint for the ISP on the Champs-Élysées.
