phenning Posted October 21, 2019 Share On the Maxxis web site i see the Assagai is avaliable in EXO at last. Any thoughts on how long we need to wait before it arrives in SA
Dirt Tracker Posted October 21, 2019 Share No idea on timing but here is a recent review. https://nsmb.com/articles/maxxis-assegai-dd-exo-tire-review/ Not much weight difference between the Exo / Exo+ and DD.
BaGearA Posted October 21, 2019 Share No idea on timing but here is a recent review. https://nsmb.com/articles/maxxis-assegai-dd-exo-tire-review/ Not much weight difference between the Exo / Exo+ and DD. makes sense since it's such a chucky tyre , l;ike shaving weight around the carcass and side walls is opointless whn you look at how much rubber is actually used up by the knobs ....its thicccccccck
Wheelie87 Posted October 22, 2019 Share I was actually looking at these yesterday as I see Evobikes advertising two variants I maybe too noob but it's a little confusing determining which is which when comparing to Maxis website...the weight for both variants on Evo are the same.. https://www.evobikes.co.za/maxxis-assegai-wt-29x2-50-tr-3c-maxxgrip-60x2-folding.html https://www.evobikes.co.za/maxxis-assegai-wide-trail-29-x-2-5-120-tpi-2-ply-foldable-3cg-tr-dd.html Also looking to run one of these upfront...just because..looks very lekker

Jako De Wet Posted October 22, 2019 Share I wanted to order one through my LBS, apparently they will be available from end November/ mid December. Don't hold me to it though
Bos Posted October 22, 2019 Share Iv'e noted a lot of guys running them online. Its a real winner!I just picked up a DHF on the hub since I was not blown away by the DHR. So I will give that a go first. I now need to replace my Razor Rock, which made big rubber manageable because of the fast rolling, but is busy shedding corner knobs like autumn leaves. I doubt I'm going to put the DHR on the back to slow, I really don't ride Jonkershoek every weekend. So Its either Aggressor, which I am still not quite sold on, or.. https://nsmb.com/articles/riding-troy-brosnans-new-maxxis-dissector-tire/ I might wait it out..
