I wonder who are going to be the leaders in the future in the Ebike market ?

The Bycycle manufactures.

The Motorbike manufactures.

Going to be interesting. Especially as everyone sees this as a new cash-cow. Look at UCI and the MX bodies fighting over where this category must fall.

 

I think there are going to be two classes one falling under UCI and another under MX

UCI will have to keep control. E-Bikes will take plenty of work to pass regulations on an FIM level I rate.

Ball end levers

Kill switches

Dead man's switches

Folding foot pegs(pedals)
Protective boots

Helmets with structural shells

 

 

I think in terms of suspension the motorbike manufacturers will deliver knock out blow to the mtb manufacturers though

Motorbike guys should have tons of cash to throw at suspension development or buying in a reputable MTB suspension designer.

I actually sickens me though the comparison

 

A brand new top of the range KTM 250XCW-F costs less than a top end mtb.

 

It has a shed load more parts, more R&D, better suspension, tyres etc

 

Just the fact a 12 speed chain costs less than a 520 O ring chain is a joke
