eddy Posted November 5, 2019 Share I am thinking of getting a disk brakeset for a frame configured for post mount brakes but everything seems to only be flat mount and as far as I can determine there is no adapter. What would my choices be? Who makes a post mount, road brake set with 2X shifting, and where can I get one ?
Schnavel Posted November 5, 2019 Share My mate had this exact problem with his gravel bike (it had cable discs and he wanted to use hydraulic). After looking online and concluding that the only option would be to purchase different calipers, using XT calipers with Ultegra levers as an example, he designed and made his own brackets, allowing the use of flat mount calipers on a post mount frame and fork. I think he still has a few left if you are interested?
Monark Posted November 5, 2019 Share Eddy I just fitted XTR calipers. Simple. They are super reliable and light.
