Frosty Posted January 16, 2020 Share I have been wanting to post this ever since I saw a tweet about black socks with white shoes. Over the years, there have been some sock trends, mostly in SA, but possibly influenced by the pro peloton or other trends. I remember wearing black socks, when road racing, as a sign that I was also a mountain biker. I know it was mentioned here on more than one thread. I’m sure LA also started something with wearing black socks. If you know, you’re welcome to share. Current trends are obviously Versus, CAM, some Monkey name, while Falke are hardly mentioned nowadays. Mtree and Prince Albert Cycles
Frosty Posted January 16, 2020 Share And as I post, I remembered those long, luminous-colored socks - never wore them, but they were a craze a number of years back.

Super Sywurm Posted January 16, 2020 Share I just wear the socks I have. Sometimes, I wear my work socks. After work, just take of my boots and put on my cycling shoes, no need to remove the socks. Can't care what people think about my sock fashion. arabsandals, MDJ, Ed-Zulu and 5 others
Reme Le Hane Posted January 16, 2020 Share I won't waste my. Money on another versus, they look funky but that's all there is too it, they are the least comfortable pair I own for sports, they fine for wearing to work, but they offer zero support when running or ridding. While a funky sock looks nice, what's the point of looking good and working ****. It's like buying a ferrari with a lawnmower engine in. Me rida my bicycle Posted January 17, 2020 Share I like Versus apart from looking funky the quality is really good and it's really comfortable. I have had loads of cheaper shocks after 1 or 2 rides they are wollerig. Not quite sure what support some of you expect from a ???? but as long as I can forget that I am wearing any they win. Long Wheel Base Posted January 17, 2020 Share I own a few pairs of versus and I do like them. I also recently got 2 pairs of Falke from dischem and TBH they don't feel any different, they look just as good and they the same length. I got 2 pairs of spez socks and 2 pairs of versus first ever socks that are from the previous generation of fashion as they a little bit shorter so they have been demoted to socks worn with my jeans. 2 pairs of my versus are the thicker ones(think they call them trail?) and they are THICK so I don't really wear them in summer for long rides. DrRichard Posted January 17, 2020 Share I wonder if shaved vs. unshaved legs impacts on sock length choice/ style? mid calf if shaved/pro look, ankle if unshaved? In any case if the guy behind you has time to think about your socks, you are not going fast enough Me rida my bicycle
