Dmano Posted March 7, 2020 Share Cradle moon Olympic distance TRI on the 26th April 2020..... Any one know how tuff the bike leg is? Relatively new cyclist. Is the swim tuff? Wetsuits legal?
JCA12 Posted March 7, 2020 Share Are you referring to the road triathlon or Cross Triathlon? For the Cross, the 23km route appears to be the same as the one used today for the Trail Hunter series - i.e. yellow starting at the restaurant from what I heard. Quite technical in places. But all info can be found at: https://www.redhub-events.com/

Riaan H Posted March 8, 2020 Share Hey Dmano I take it that this would be your 1st triathlon? If so, I can tell you that the water is nice and fresh, but like all open water swims you need to be able to do the distance easily, as there's no swimming pool floor to stand on if you get tired. There are plenty lifeguards on paddle boards to assist if you run into trouble. Not sure about wetsuits as that is water temperature dependent on the day, but it is very likely that you would be able to. The bike is kinda hilly, with a not so nice kick close to the end, not bad though. Not sure if you know, but the run is offroad and pretty pleasant. Enjoy it
