Ah, ok, I'm looking for options on flying the bike down to PE in december for the vakansie. Probably just get a box and use flysafair then.

i hate sending the bike down in a box.

the risk of scratching/bending is always high. Then you get there and you have to higher a vehicle that will take a bike in a box inside it.

Lately wind predictions for Cape Town have been notoriously inaccurate the further ahead the predictions are made. Closer one gets to d-day, the more accurate it becomes - which is typical for this season we find ourselves in where the SE starts ramping up for the December holiday wrecking-ball it becomes.

Windy is now showing a stiff SE wind on the lower half of the peninsula - enough to keep the less fit on their toes.

Except, as usual, the slog from Ocean View / Kommetjie to Noordhoek. That's normally straight into a head wind.

At least we get pushed up Smitswinkel climb to Cape Point..

This necessitates revision of target time.

I have a recipe involving onions, garlic and red wine. No-one will sit your wheel anyway the next morning.
