Cape Epic prologue-Plum Pudding

Did this section this afternoon, first time in a while

I know this little section well from the wooden bridge to the lower gravel road.

I predict above normal crashes on this section this year.

Its powdery, dry and loose.

The section has been worked on but if anything it’s made it even more of a challenge.

Normal flow has been disrupted and at pace it’s now a nice little technical challenge.

I fear a few not so tech savvy epic riders will come undone on this section.

I know where I am spectating come Sunday ????

Are you going to watch the pro's show us how it's done, or to watch people crash?

I love this about Mountain Biking.

How one man's trash is a other man's treasure, one man's basic addition is another man's Collatz Conjecture....

The pro's make this such a non event. It's way more fun watching the back markers slide down on their bums.

Or walk up easily ride able sections.   :whistling:

Any suggestions for going to watch with two little one?

If I park along the Cable Station road, will we still get to a good spot. Plumb Pudding will probably too far to get too.

where would be the best place to go and watch the action live? prefer to stay away from the crowds at start finnish.

I'd vote for Dead Mans Tree on Tafelberg Road.

Went there this morning. Fast and fun as usual but oh my god so dusty. Almost saw my own ass. But the usually rough exit has been brushed up nicely.

So if the Epic newbies take it on slowly they will be fine :)
