Kalahari Vegmot Posted March 12, 2020 Share I'd like to fit a FSA BB386 crankset in my standard BSA 68mm road frame. I can't seem to find the FSA adapter locally. Will this e*13 adapter work? https://www.evobikes.co.za/components/bottom-brackets/e-thirteen-bsa-68-73mm-threaded-bottom-bracket.html Would I need a wavy washer or something as well? It says "Spindle spacers and wave washer are not included and are superseded by the APS adjuster". I don't see an "APS adjuster" on the picture though. Am I missing something? DieselnDust Posted March 12, 2020 Share Basically any BSA 68 BB for 30mm axle will work. You will need some spacers to take up the slack. https://wheelsmfg.com/threaded-to-30mm-abec-3-bb-black.html https://www.paragontech.co.za/product-category/bottom-brackets-spares/ to illustrate a few The E13 unit requires their tool which I would avoid as not many shops will have it in stock so potentially extra cost for your account Edited March 12, 2020 by DieselnDust Kalahari Vegmot
Bicycle Supply Chain Posted March 15, 2020 Share Or you could go to positivesportssolutions.co.za for 1/4 the price.

I ended up getting a FSA ceramic BB386BSA as that's all that CRC had..... DieselnDust Posted March 16, 2020 Share Whichever model of BB you purchase, ensure that it has good quality 6806 RS bearings.SKFNTNFAGI'm not a fan of overpriced enduro bearings nor do I buy into the "Designed for bicycles" tag line.Token design concept is good but the bearings are pretty cheap and don't last. I've fitted SKF to mine and all good for the last 6months
