Dogs Posted March 30, 2020 Share Have you guys checked out the Asgstore specials, i have been viewing their specials for months but always seems overpriced or am I wrong? I have never purchased any of their products yet so could be wrongGot some nice stuff (gloves, glasses, gels) at good prices, but that was at the Pretoria shop just before lockdown. Sale prices are reasonable and more in line with what I would pay.
Thomo Posted March 30, 2020 Share clearly I’m not used to good bibs. Bought a Ciovita bib at CTCT expo and could not be happier. The most comfortable bib I’ve ever used.Possibly one of the original models which people are generally happy with.?Seems it's the more recent stuff giving problems. But yes, bibs are akso very personal and perhaps it just works better for you.Keep an eye on the stitching etc which others have mentioned. Look the after sales service from them regarding the stitching was excellent and ill gladly buy from them again... JUST NOT when these "sale" tactics carries on. I am a fairly persistent person but, eventually, i had to give up after a few months. Never received the goods or a refund. Won't ever buy anything from them again. nonky Posted March 30, 2020 Share Better enjoy the specials while you can, with the Rand as it is, cycle stuff is going to skyrocket. Free waterbottle to the first hubber who spots a R100k bike with NX or SX Eagle drivetrain? Almighty bloodbath on the way...your LBS or fancy spez dealer down the road may not see Easter, let alone Xmas.

Chingy182 Posted March 30, 2020 Share I've been keeping an eye on an IDT and prices for quite a while now. Kickr Core was R14 500 RRP before any specials and Kickr Snap 2 was R7500 RRP before any specials. I see today the Core is on R15 000 RRP before so called 14% discount DieselnDust and nonky

What i dont get is the 2nd hand ones selling for way more than the new price, but thats for another thread nonky

Bike Addict often throws in a "voucher" to sweeten the deal Bought mine Mid last year, and the RRP was R 14 999 then. And do recall the same price for many months before that, as I was looking for a good deal. nonky
The_Hitman Posted March 31, 2020 Share doubt it’s an older model, was bought a few weeks ago from the expo.I was also happy with my Corsa 1.0 bibs considering the price I paid not so long ago. However with their latest sale tactics and price CIOVITA will not be supported by me. By the way I noticed some LBS have sale on some excellent bibs from a well known brand. But that's a thread for another day. Mister B and ChrisF
Darrynbp Posted March 31, 2020 Share I dont know iff Ciovita makes Sako7.. Im more of opinion that both get their clothes from the same factory in the east... to be fair Sako had a new bib before Ciovita launched their supremo. Think its the same story as the chinese carbon frames. Just my opinion though. On the quality side, had to send 2 bibs back to get the chamois restiched. I also know of a pair of ladies bibs that the stitching is unraveling just above the zip where the shoulder straps attach. The Bigger problem with the whole inflation of RRSP is that LBSs is following them. When i order something from them they are quick to go check online what these bigger stores retail them for, then make their price on that. Sucks 100% I used to work for an lbs in the northern suburbs, the customer would order an item, my boss at the time would go check the cwc site for price and stock, call Chris w Snr or Chris w jnr get the "old riding buddies discount" then resell the product to the customer at the cwc advertised price + 10% Dodgy asshole
