My On One 456 Carbon Hardtail

This is my Rooikop Skelmpie.[/url]

After listening the the latest Kendall vs Kendall podcast (link below) I was inspired to make the Rooikop Skelmpie a Singlespeed again. Winter is nigh, and by the time we get into the mountains again, this bike (and I) will be itching to get muddy again.

This bike as a singlespeed reminds me of why I started riding around the mountains and forests as a laaitie. All the fun. None of the worries.

Motivational reminders. And clean cable routing that warm the cockles of my heart.

Look carefully and you'll see some emergency gorilla tape wrapped around the fork.

Lockdown budget build.

1x11 32 oval and sunrace 11-50t cassette

Shimano XT shifter and derailleur but with Sram chain on the sunrace cassette just works better ????

Was sceptical about the fork but it really feels good plush and smooth.

If I had a compressor I would have fit the onza Ibex skinwall think that would really make her pop.

Pretty nice fleet of bikes you have there! It's not often that I drool over rigid bikes or bikes with less than 140mm of travel, but dam!

Thanks TyronLab! The Orange started with the I9 wheelset, which was a Demo set. I am very happy with the end result.

Edit....corrected a typo!
