mountainfun Posted April 25, 2020 Share Hi All Lockdown is getting tough, but 1 May is Freedom Day! Even if only allowing me to ride down my street. I'm VERY VERY keen to build/get a portable ramp. Any suggestions? This one looked super awesome!! Thanks JL

You only need a jigsaw, a sheet of plywood and a single plank. And obviously drill and fasteners. I made one with a 6ft radius which was too steep. I suggest a 8-9ft curve radius. Making it folding will be more tricky.
PhilipV Posted April 25, 2020 Share It’s a terrible idea, therefore you should definitely do it. I've spent many an afternoon not doing homework and screwing around with the ramps we built. They are especially fun if you can launch into embankments.
duanelr Posted April 26, 2020 Share I built one similar to the one on GMBN. Was about 40cm high and 110cm long. I'm not great at jumping but it got me a little air during lockdown
mountainfun Posted April 26, 2020 Share I actually made a very non-portable one this afternoon. I tipped a Grecian water bath onto its side, stabilised it with braai wood, put a board over it, and voila!! Now I must just figure out how to upload a pic or two..
