The HAtoere events I have attended have always been top notch. I'm really surprised that there has been no response/confirmation for months now. TheDogShow Posted June 2, 2021 Share Does anyone have further news on this event in general? shaper Posted June 3, 2021 Share I have received nothing, emailed them, sent them proof of payment when it was with ASG before HAtoere took it over. Still no reply. I don't expect to see my money back or whether the event will happen. As you say there has been zero comms or marketing of the event.
TheDogShow Posted June 3, 2021 Share Just got hold of Hendrik who appears to be the organiser. Spoke to him telephonically. He said that, as things stand now, the race is definitely going ahead. I asked what the factors are that could lead to a cancellation with the only thing being an escalation of COVID that leads to a change in regulations. From an organisational perspective, according to him, everything is going fine and there should be updated info / emails coming out soon. Holding thumbs for this one. agilwolf Posted July 1, 2021 Share From their FB page published on Monday ... "Good evening Cyclist Friends, our announcement comes as no surprise after the tighter lock down restrictions announced by President Ramaphosa this evening. Unfortunately the hosting of our Jock cycling event is postponed until further notice. We will announce the new date, which will still be during 2021, as soon as possible. All confirmed and paid entries for the Jock will remain active at this stage. Please be assured that we have done our level best to ensure that the event take place, however the national lock down restrictions has had the final determination. We apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment. Be safe and take care."
