I have also been involved in many search and rescue missions as part of various MR groups in various countries and after 16 to 24 hours one is usually looking for a body. Colin Pym Posted July 8, 2020 Share Wow, that's a lot of people searching! I was up on TM on Sunday in the mist - it would be a scary place to be lost. Hoping he's found soon. Many many moons ago I got caught in the mist. Trails and waypoints which, when visible, are so familiar, but when they cannot be seen because of the mist, it most certainly becomes scary and cold.....it also becomes difficult to not panic and just stay put! There is not much else to say apart from a tragic situation for the family and a heartbreaking situation for a man who has left us. RIP.
