Can this be fixed? SRAM Force Shifter

Good morning

 

Over the weekend, the shifter lever on my SRAM Force 10 speed snapped off. Please see image.

 

Can this be repaired? Or would it be easier and cheaper to buy new shifters? Any ideas as to where I could get a replacement would be greatly appreciated.

Or should I be looking at an upgrade to a new 11 speed groupset?

Its in the spare parts catalogue but whether its available only Cape Cycle Systems can tell you.

I suspect you'll have to buy a new shifter.

SJS has a Apex Rival shift lever in stock for the right hand shifter

Potentially, it can be fixed. Chances of it breaking again - high.

 

I wouldn't want that snapping again 60km into a 120km ride... 

 

That's an unusual place for it to break, so maybe put an ad up on the hub, asking if people have an old sram shifter lying around that you can get for parts - it would be pretty cheap.
