Neelswanepoel Posted August 14, 2020 Share For cyclingHi, Johan I use the polar H10 heart rate strap, which has worked very well for me as it can connect to multiple devices simultaneously, and has Bluetooth as well as ANT+ connectivity. Try to get a chest strap, as they are usually the most accurate.
Firozfx Posted August 14, 2020 Share Its not a cycling only strap but Ive been using the Garmin HRM Tri since 2016. 2 ironman, Joberg2c, Munga, many cycling and running races and still going strong. Key advantages. The strap never stretches,The HR unit is non removable so you cant lose itEasy washing, just throw it into soapy waterIf u ever decide to take a jog or run, it gives run dynamicsIf u ever decide to swim it measures Hr underwater DisadvantagesOnly the initial price but thats all Edited August 14, 2020 by Firozfx Frosty
shaper Posted August 14, 2020 Share For cyclingWhat are you using to record heart rate? Phone, garmin, wahoo, polar etc? Look for a HR strap that does dual Ant+ and bluetooth Quagga

MDJ Posted August 14, 2020 Share Another vote for the Wahoo Tickr, much easier battery change v.s Garmin and its lasted me longer without strap issues.
FDP Posted August 14, 2020 Share I’ve had multiple strap issues with Garmin Premium HRMs. First the contact patches started to delaminate, on the next one the strap just stopped working for no reason. Now using a Tickr. Very happy. Warthog whisperer
Quagga Posted August 15, 2020 Share It depends on the unit you want to or are using. Garmin strap will not talk to polar unit and other way round shaper

Wimmas Posted August 15, 2020 Share I have a Polar H10 and it has been great. Water proof and you also do not need to keep your phone with you to track. You can just start your workout, leave the phone, and srop the workout once you are at your phone again. Very accurate and picks up the slightest changes in HR unlike the arm straps and most watches.
