MrJacques Posted November 21, 2020 Share If you've ever struggled with pushing in brake pistons this seems like a very useful tool. Birzman dual Disc Brake Piston Pusher: And it should be easy enough to make a budget / diy version: Wonder why we don't see more of these instead of the usual pad spreader tools. It would have come in handy for myself recently.
BMXER Posted November 21, 2020 Share What's wrong with a 13mm spanner and a strong hand? A square push and the pistons go back.

Usually that works, but sometimes you have a very sticky piston like I recently experienced and that trick didn't work. I think this kind of tool would be nice for workshops. BMXER Posted November 21, 2020 Share If it won't retreat then you need to inspect, clean and possibly disassemble. Forse is not the answer. MrJacques, Riaan H and Cappi

The Birzman one is designed that you could use it without removing the caliper / wheel from the frame, like when you change brake pads.
BaGearA Posted November 21, 2020 Share I have one of these , works great and I don't have to remove the caliper ( my caliper is top loading ) pressing back the pistons is very simple don't over complicate it gummibear
