I recently heard about this illusive bike too.

 

Edit: staying with spaz...i like those ‘Swerks’ (one word )models too

This ............... I suppose only the haters say spaz? I have no issues with the brand so just do a face palm every time I see "spaz"  :lol:

Not really, i type spaz because it says lekker haha, and SPECIALIZED is longer than the alphabet. Some type spez, but spaz just rings better for me lol

The valves, can never remember which is which. Ai tog.

 

Presta? Is that the one like the car where you "press" the valve to "open" it and let air in/out? Wrong again...

 

Since my "moedertaal" is "Afrikaans" at least I have an excuse when I mess up things like color and colour, tire and tyre etc.

 

By the way, I do not even know the correct Afrikaans names for all the bicycle parts, that will be a fun addition to this thread. I know a Saddle is a "Saal", but no idea what the seat post is called in Afrikaans.

Chain: ketting

Rim: velling

Spoke: speek

Hub: naaf / spil

Back pedal: terugtraprem

I wish bicycles had starters - knormoer. (Maybe e-bikes count?)

But I guess a knormoer can also be that old cranky guy you know being a tool on the trails haha
