Best way to courier a precious classic from Sabi to Worcester?

Ladies and gentlemen,

This morning I had the (increasingly) common-place nightmare of being smashed off my beloved, irreplaceable Classic Alpina - with original Exage system and Mavic rims - by a taxi. I was concussed and in pain, but as I lay in bed, I listened to my miracle-worker wife on her cell. She knows nothing about bicycles. But within hours she had located a replacement! within hours! The transaction is checked, legit and complete. Now, I need anyone's wise advice on the best way of getting the bike from Sabi to Worcester, with the least damage. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

May you all have the same luck - and wonderful wives:)

Packaged in a bike box, and courier guy. Recently boxed a bike I built for a family member and shipped it up to GP. It was a xl mtb in a 160cm x 82cm x 30cm cardboard box i got from a bikeshop for free. The weight of the total package was 20kg ish all in. Courier Guy’s 3 business days option - R1350 ish. It is about Half that price if you are prepared to wait 7 days. Bike got there without any trouble or damage. I took the time and effort to package it properly though.

Shoo sorry about your mishap. I hope you are okay.

I have used the courier guy for frame shipment and all went well.

How is the Alpina frame? Those old steelies are pretty strong, did it survive the mishap?

Sadly, the frame is bent almost in half.. Rode that bike for nearly 30 years, including tri-athlons, when I was young and strong!
