Hi,

I am new in the MTB world, currently I have a Shimano FH-MT400B REAR hub and I would like to replace it with Novatec D712SB.

Does any one know anything about the brand Novatec? (good and bad)

Kind Regards

S

Good brand, reasonably good support from Cape Cycles. I run XD642SB hubs and have had no issues in almost 4 years.

Cheap solid, not terribly light but they use 6902 bearings which are a decent size so  good quality replacement bearings will likely outlast the bike

I got some ceramic bearings for mine. Yet to fit them but should make a difference.

I'd be tempted to say that's like polishing a turd except with a Novatec it's probably what it deserved in the first place.
