New Landy new life Posted February 16, 2021 Share Hi guys I found the O-rings leaking on my 2015 reverb dropper lever as the dropper no longer raises and the handlebar was full of oil. This happened about 4 months after the post was serviced but I noted in the bag containing all the old seals that they did not contain all the lever piston, speed adjuster and hose O rings. Can one purchase these orings separately?I have measured them all so could possibly source new but prefer to get OEM. Any suggestions who may stock these seals.
porqui Posted February 16, 2021 Share Came to the same conclusion just last night - replace seals. Should be able to purchase them from a seal supplier your bearing man should also have them as they are pretty standard.Alouette3 has been seconded to do the task - loves to tinker and solve a problem. Alouette3 Posted February 16, 2021 Share I'll check on the sizes when I get home. The early remotes had a X ring for the piston, think the later ones have 2 o rings but will confirm.
Alouette3 Posted February 16, 2021 Share Is it leaking at the speed adjuster/ hose side or at the push button under the rubber bellows? I get all my o-rings from Coastal seals in Voortrekker New Landy new life
droo Posted February 16, 2021 Share When you pull the lever apart, check the bore for damage, particularly if the lever is mounted on top of the bar. Most leaky Reverb levers are from people turning bikes upside down to work on them. New Landy new life and DieselnDust
New Landy new life Posted February 16, 2021 Share I remember when I got the dropper back from service the speed control was not operating properly and it seems that O-ring is a bit tired as well as the piston o-ring an there was a fair bit of moisture in the lever. The piston o-ring has a nylon backing ring. The sizes I measured Hose saddle end 4.2x1.5Hose lever end 4.5x1.5Filler plug 4x1Piston 4.2x2Speed control 9.4x1.

Alouette3 Posted February 21, 2021 Share Drop me a PM if you need a hand, I'm in CT. If your lever is shot, not just seals, I also have a spare in my box.

I have bought the orings already. All I need is a bleed kit which I haven't yet found.Have a complete spare dropper post and lever from a mate of mine that got diddled by a guy on gumtree that sold him a dud and he wasn't prepared to pay for it's service and repairs so I scored it for parts.
