'Dale Posted June 5, 2021 Share Hmmm... it is a tight GC ladder. Ineos sitting pretty. Sublime attack by Porte. Bahrain Victorious stringing stage wins together - they would be a happy camp, I'm sure, after a relatively quiet phase. Even have Jack Haig at 34 seconds. 1 Richie Porte (Aus) Ineos Grenadiers 25:28:06 2 Alexey Lutsenko (Kaz) Astana-Premier Tech 00:00:17 3 Geraint Thomas (GBr) Ineos Grenadiers 00:00:29 4 Wilco Kelderman (Ned) Bora-Hansgrohe 00:00:33 5 Jack Haig (Aus) Bahrain Victorious 00:00:34 6 Miguel Angel Lopez Moreno (Col) Movistar Tea 00:00:38 7 Ion Izagirre (Spa) Astana-Premier Tech 8 Ben O'Connor (Aus) AG2R Citroën Team 00:01:00 9 David Gaudu (Fra) Groupama-FDJ 00:01:12 10 Aurelien Paret-Peintre (Fra) AG2R Citroën Team 00:01:

SwissVan Posted June 6, 2021 Share So nice to see Mark Padun win the stage, love his motivation for going for the win “why not do something and maybe they'd show me on TV for my mother” https://www.cyclingnews.com/races/criterium-du-dauphine-2021/stage-7/results/ Vetplant

dsw Posted June 6, 2021 Share Today should be a thriller. Will Richie be able to hold on to yellow or will he pay for going very deep yesterday? Those who did not do very much yesterday like Geraint might be stronger today. And then there is Louis.. will he hang on for a top 20 or maybe even a top 15? dsw Posted June 6, 2021 Share Well done to Richie... not bad at all for a 36 year old "domestique"... very happy for him G up to his own tricks again.... great rider, general good bloke and habitual crasher. 3x Ineos and 3 x Aussies in top 10. And Louis desperately hanging in to stay in the top 20. Well done. A shocker by Seb Kuss who looked so good at times. Jewbacca, Vetplant and Jakkals.

Kranswurm Posted June 6, 2021 Share Porte looks a lot leaner than I have seen him for a while He enjoys the shorter stage races as well A real pro I like him Wayne pudding Mol, Jewbacca and dsw
Underachiever Posted June 7, 2021 Share Louis 17th!! Best result in a while in a proper quality stage race. Ahead of NQ, G Martin, Sepp Kuss. I wish he will learn not to ride at the back of the bunch!!! So much more stressful to close gaps, no luxury to drift a little towards the back, etc, etc. I see "pretty face" Aru was 26th. It could be that he’s too nice and easily bullied into riding at the back; who knows? Contrast that to Pogacar, who is younger than Louis, but will be much closer to the front. I speak from hearing some Pros talking about fighting for position in the peloton.

babse Posted June 5, 2023 Share What a character. Good to see him back winning... But man I cringe when I see the celebration before the line stuff. Frosty and TheoG
