Paraplegic tricycle

I am trying to find someone that can help build or source a hand driven electric assisted tricycle for my son who is a  paraplegic.

He lost the use of his legs in a motorcycle accident  Being a very active and adventurous person this tricycle will give him the freedom to move around easier and cycle with his wife.

My dad has limited use of his legs and is working with David Mercer on a hand driven trike. I’m sure he’d be open to working on something similar that could accommodate a motor.

Chilled Squirrel has a nice motor option that could easily be added to such a tricycle.

Have a look at their post fitted mid-drive motor option

Thanks for your reply on this topic. I also think it is a good idea to use the mid mounted electric motor.

I see Matt mentioned David Mercer.

Is there any way to contact him?
