RobbyB Posted September 11, 2021 Share A first place to try is a written valuation from your reputable Bike Shop... gary elliott, ChrisF and Hairy 2

Frosty Posted September 12, 2021 Share Find out the price of your bike currently, based on the same specs, then insure it for that value. Each person is different, as is each insurer, so check what your T&Cs specify. gary elliott and Hairy
Steady Spin Posted September 12, 2021 Share My bike is a custom build. I had a shop quote me on the replacement value based on the sum of the parts and insured it for that. RobbyB, Frosty and gary elliott

Emazing Posted September 12, 2021 Share Just make sure to attach a very clear pic as SA short term insurance company’s look for any excuse to not pay out or not to pay out what’s the bikes replacement cost is. Be sure to cross question in a email the insurance company though you’re broker who again can’t be relied on. (Brokers are only there to take your money and quick to buckle under pressure from the insurance company’s. ). The ombudsman’s is no longer impartial or autonomous the biggest underwriters have completely corrupted the system and literally pay their salary’s .
