TNT1 Posted September 13, 2021 Share TT: Don't care now that Roglic AND Dumoulin are not riding. RR: Hard to see anyone getting past Remco and Wout. Maybe Magnus Cort. Women's: TT: Like the mens, I have no interest without Chloe riding RR: Van Vleuten or Van der Breggen. Although I will be rooting for Coryn Rivera as always. Magnus Cort is right up there with his recent form. But like Shebeen says, these World's Championships play out to different rules, so anything can happen. WRT the Road race. I really hope everyone keeps their bearings on straight. This course can be hella confusing, even before you have massive lactate build-up. I'm calling it now... someone is going to put their hands up in celebration across the finish line in one of these races and then hear the bell for the final lap ringing for them.... Men Elite Road Race After the start on the Grote Markt in Antwerp, the peloton leaves for Leuven, with a passage in Official Village Keerbergen. Arriving in Leuven, the final unfolds on the local circuit (4 hills) and the Flandrien circuit (6 hills): 1.5 x local circuit Leuven, 1 x Flandrien circuit, 4x local circuit Leuven, 1x Flandrien circuit and 2.5 x local circuit Leuven. The finish line after this tough race is on the sloping Geldenaaksevest. Start presentations at Groenplaats: 8:45 Edited September 13, 2021 by Vetplant Got schooled on spelling... stringbean Posted September 13, 2021 Share On the South African side (besides Ashley) are we sending just a group again to DNF or post some PB? Vetplant

Don't think Hunter or Impey have won or placed well outside of stage races, and Maintjes coming 2nd at junior WC is probably best ever return. A lot of that is because no one has really been a leader at these.

If he can sneak into the early break, who knows, he might just hang on when the Main contenders come past and then surprise them with an attack as they out-mark each other... We can dream. I reckon the national champ is pretty strong but I might be biased.
NickGM Posted September 13, 2021 Share TT route is so flat it may as well be a track ride, should suit Ganna.

Stefan Kung just beat him on a fast and flat Euro champs TT course, so he is also one to watch out for.

Was about to say the same. But the course is twice as long. Not sure who that suits, but it's hard to bet against Gana.
