hayleyearth Posted September 22, 2021 Share Any of you had success in buying something other than a plastic water bottle that fits nicely in a bottle cage?

FirstV8 Posted September 29, 2021 Share No thanks at that price . I have a aluminum one that i kept in my car , the water tasted metally after a few hours and it rattled like hell on the bike .
Nico van Loggerenberg Posted September 29, 2021 Share I'm hunting for something similar. BPA free does not mean BP-S free, and some new health implications of those substances have recently come to light that have made me rethink my cheap plastic bottles. Woolworths and Clicks both on occasion have reasonably priced stainless steel sports water bottles. Should not clank around too much in the right bottle cage. Klean Kanteen and Superdry as well as others make these too. I would be wary of Aluminium, apparently many of them have inner liners that release significantly more BPS or BPA than even low grade plastic bottles, and worst of all, some double-walled versions have lead plugs in contact with water. Keego looks amazing but that price is steep. https://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20110712/some-aluminum-water-bottles-leach-bpa
