Well done, you guys rode an excellent race????

The Ceres , Tulbagh, RawsonVille area has some properly rough trails. One mistake and all your prep is down the drain.

I'd love to give the Eoic abash agian when the route is similar to 2021. The Southern Cape routes are quite tame in comparison or maybe I just know the trails a lot better than the more Northern routes.

Thanks bud, we surprised ourselves in the end.

Also we didn't set any goals as we knew 1 bad day might of led to disappointment. We just took and day by day and had a blast!

That is a photo of Andiswe and Refilwe from the Exxaro/Pepto team.

This is Beauty and Remofilwe, who finished just ahead of them.

These two were in front of us many times .They are proof that you don,t need expensive carbon  kit and or exceptional skill to finish .They were fit and could ride the steep sections we battled with .They also had exceptionally good manners on the trails and smiled a lot .Well done to them and wish them well

Myself and partner had supper with them and the rest of Timo Cooper crew.

Humbling bunch that are really grateful for the opportunity. They were loving every minute of it.

I was telling my work colleagues today of them as he saw them walking sections of the prologue. He couldn't believe that I told him they made each day quite comfortably.

They maybe fit but mentally, just listening to them, they were super strong and determined on finishing. Respect ????????

Interesting fact, I heard Gerald de Kock say on the wrap up of S7 on YouTube - Bart Brentjins (spelling), winner of the Grand Masters jersey overall has won not only that category, but the elites and Masters as well in the earlier years! Talk about an evergreen rider.

Then you have a grand master from SA who did a sub 3 at Argus all upset cause he spent a year living more Pro than Tadej and wondering why he didn’t win or podium.

caliber is not even close

Protein shakes and hard work. Pity Roel didn't follow the same regime.

Roel was past his best when he took to the good stuff. It was highly suspicious as well because he wasn't achieving anything then suddenly got a 2nd wind and boom caught. maybe he was maybe he wasn't doping in the mid 2000's we won't know for sure unless they decide to go fishing for more evidence in old samples but what good would that do?

Not everyone that wins cheats,

not everyone that cheats wins
