rock Posted January 3, 2007 Share I heard they're good for brakes and crap for gears (or was that the other way round ?)
ShortLegs Posted January 3, 2007 Share I've used them and while the bend on the gear side of the STI seems a bit wierd (not the extreme bend around and go under the bar tape), they worked flawlessly on both brakes and gears.
Sir Fed Posted January 3, 2007 Share They can be a little rough on gear cables but the addition of an Avid Rollermajig solves that problem. Zabel used them complete with the extreme bend ShortLegs is referring to and had no complaints. Since he is quite particular about his equipment I think that's an indication that they work pretty well.
linnega Posted January 3, 2007 Share My Nokon cables have been excellent for the past 18 months gear and brakes on my road bike. Only issue is the corrosion of the outer anodizing in the friendly Durban salt air. Not a big issue functionally but a bit crap cosmetically. TitusTi Posted January 4, 2007 Share I use it for the final piece on my rear gear housing on my Mtb, also use the seal part for the rest, seems to work Ok.
